INA thrust tapered roller bearing cage clearance adjustment

Whether it is an INA bearing or other types of bearings, it is generally divided into two types: a cage with and without a cage. Among them, large-sized thrust tapered roller bearings generally require a large load, often without a cage, but filled with rolling elements between the inner and outer raceways. Most small and medium-sized rolling bearings are equipped with cages.
In the INA bearing process, how the outer ring, inner ring, rolling element and cage of the bearing are assembled. Simply put, the inner and outer rings of the bearing are placed first, the inner ring is placed sideways, then the rolling elements are placed (on one side), then the position of the rolling elements is adjusted, and finally, the cage is placed. Now everyone knows that there is also a cage involved in the processing of thrust tapered roller bearings. What is the main function of the bearing cage?
1. Adjust the gasket method:
A set of soft material (soft steel sheet or elastic paper) gasket is placed between the INA bearing end cover and the end face of the bearing housing; when adjusting, do not put the gasket on the bearing end cover, and evenly tighten the bearing end cover on one side. The screw is rotated by hand until the bearing rolling element contacts the outer ring and there is no gap inside the shaft; at this time, the gap between the thrust tapered roller bearing end cover and the end face of the bearing seat is measured, and the bearing is in normal operation. The axial clearance required; this is the total thickness of the required gasket, then the prepared gasket is placed between the bearing end cap and the end face of the housing, and finally the screw is tightened.
2. Adjust the bolt method:
Press the pressure ring on the outer ring of the INA bearing and pressurize it with the adjusting bolt. Before adjusting the pressure, first measure the pitch of the adjusting bolt, then slowly tighten the adjusting bolt until there is no gap inside the bearing, then calculate Adjust the corresponding rotation angle of the bolt. For example, the pitch is 1.5mm, the clearance required for the normal operation of the thrust tapered roller bearing, then the rotation angle required to adjust the bolt is 3600×0.15/l.5=360; then the adjustment bolt is reversed 360, and the miniature bearing gets 0.5. The axial clearance of mm can then be fixed with a stop washer.
The INA bearing is called a window and is used to isolate and guide the rolling elements. The pocket clearance allows the cage to have a certain amount of motion in the radial and axial directions. The total radial activity is called the gap of the cage. There are many types of structures and complicated shapes in the roller cage. There are many equidistant pockets on the cage. The pockets are spherical, round, elliptical, rectangular and toothed. The size is larger than the size of the rolling element. The difference between the two is the pocket clearance, sometimes for the rolling cage window. The portion of the connection between them is called a lintel, which acts to connect and increase the strength of the cage.
